It's Nice Out answers one question — is it nice out? — and it should answer it just as fast whichever way you use your device. This page describes what the app actually supports today, and where it still falls short.
Every screen is labelled for VoiceOver. Readings, scores, and forecast rows are grouped so each card announces as one coherent sentence rather than a scatter of numbers, decorative icons are hidden from the reader so nothing is announced twice, and controls carry labels and hints describing what they do.
Text scales with your preferred reading size, including the larger accessibility sizes. Cards reflow rather than clipping, and layouts that can't fit at the largest sizes drop to a simpler arrangement instead of truncating the answer.
With Reduce Motion enabled, the app's animated transitions and animated SF Symbol effects are turned off. Nothing that moves is required to understand a screen.
Controls use standard system button styling, so turning on Button Shapes gives every tappable element a visible boundary.
Status is never communicated by colour alone. Where the app shows a coloured indicator — a permission that is on or off, for example — it is paired with a symbol and a text label that say the same thing.
The app follows your system appearance, and you can pin it to light or dark in Settings if you'd rather not. Text and background colour pairings have been audited against the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
